Terry Levon Yokeley, 75, of Mt. Carmel Road, died Monday, August 29, 2016, at Hinkle Hospice House.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, at Good Hope United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Revs. Chris Bennett and Joseph Fulk III officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Wednesday, August 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. and other times at the home.
Mr. Yokeley was born September 12, 1940, in Davidson County, to Charlie Ford Yokeley and Kathleen Williams Yokeley. He was retired from the State of North Carolina Department of Agriculture where he had been a meat inspector. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Ann Walser Yokeley; and three brothers.
Surviving are son, Keith Yokeley and wife Teresa of Lexington; daughter, Lisa Young of Lexington; grandchildren, Brandt Yokeley, Nicole Wilgus and husband Cody, Jared Sealey, Tricia Yokeley, Tori Young, and Tyler Young; and great-grandchildren, Jaiden Yokeley, Landon “Pee Wee” Yokeley, Tatum Styers and Tegan Styers.
