Thamar Darrell Loman

Thamar Darrell Loman, age 84, of Lexington, peacefully passed away at WFBMC in Winston Salem on December 29, 2023. A service to celebrate his life will be held at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel Friday, January 5 at 11:00 with Pastor Keith Carroll officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior with burial following at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Thamar was born on February 20, 1939, in Davidson County, to Thamar Clarence Loman and Freda Fritts Loman. He attended Mt Zion Wesleyan Church and spent his professional career as a business owner of C&L Recapping (Lexington) and finished his career working in a family owned business.

Thamar was preceded in death by his loving parents and his dear wife, Carolyn Thomason Loman. He is survived by his sons Todd Loman (Louwon) of N Myrtle Beach, SC, and Shane Loman (Lorie) of Clemmons, NC. He is also survived by his sister, Landa Hunt (Bobby), and cherished grandchildren Austin Loman (Hannah Rose), Blake Loman (Edelin), and Madeline Loman. Thamar's legacy continues with one great-grandchild, Jonah Loman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Mr. Loman's memory to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
