Thelma Marie Brindle, 57, of Davidson County, passed away on October 12, 2026. She was born on November 10, 1968, to the late Jerry Brindle Sr. and Helen Byerly Brindle. Thelma was a woman with a strong work ethic, a free spirit, and a heart that cared deeply in her own unique way.
Thelma had a special way of making life memorable. She loved to dance at public events, never letting an opportunity to enjoy herself pass her by. She was a thrill-seeker at heart and loved riding roller coasters, embracing adventure that life had to offer. Family vacations and outings with friends were among her favorite ways to create lasting memories, and she treasured the time spent laughing, traveling, and sharing life's simple joys with the people she loved.
Thelma found happiness in the things that brought a smile to her face. She enjoyed her Cheerwine and Mickey Mouse, loved her hot food, and took pride in her plants and flowers. She also had a giving spirit and willingly volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, showing her desire to help others and make a difference in her community. She especially enjoyed participating in workplace events during the holidays, bringing her own personality and enthusiasm to the celebrations.
Above all, Thelma was a loving and caring woman who left her mark on others simply by being herself. Her quiet courage, hardworking nature, adventurous spirit, and unmistakable personality made her one of a kind.
In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her beloved son, James Marlow III; her brother, Jerry Brindle Jr.; and her loving fiancé, Mike Guy, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Steven Marlow and his wife, Alisha; her daughters, Melanie Trantham and her husband, Andy, and Shannon Marlow; her brother, Johnathan Brindle; her sister, Tammy Wahl and her husband, Darryl; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her best friend of more than 35 years, Susan Thomas. She also leaves behind many family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever treasure the time they shared with her.
