Thelma Vineyard

Thelma Parsons Vineyard, 86, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 23, 2023.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, February 27, 2023, in the Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum with Pastor Michael McDaniel officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the home of the daughter, Cathey.

Mrs. Vineyard was born in Ashe County on August 18, 1936, to Edward James Parsons and Jean Combs Parsons. She was a member of Currytown Baptist Church and a loving mother, sister, and grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Jack Vineyard; her brothers, Darrell Parsons, and Herman Parsons; and her sisters, Pauline Lewis, and Marylou McCoy.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Cathey Moheisen (Sam), Lesa Triplette, and Harold Lewis; her brother, Roger Parsons; her sister, Agnes Dolinger (Dowle); a grandson Jamie Lewis (Leslie); and a great-grandchild, River Lewis.
