Theresa Rimer Mcdowell

Theresa Rimer McDowell, 84, of Davidson County, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at her home.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 4:00 PM, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.

Theresa was born on June 15, 1940, in Davidson County, to the late Clyde W. Rimer and Ivoyynne Mavis Rimer. She spent most of her life as a teacher, instilling knowledge and wisdom among a myriad of students. Her greatest passion in life was teaching and working with her pupils.

After retiring from teaching, she stayed within the school system as a basketball coach. Theresa was known everywhere she went by current and former students whose lives she touched throughout her work.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved cousin, Shelbia Lou Mullis, of Rockwell; sister, Nancy Widenhouse, of Concord; niece Michele Flynn, of Concord; nephew, Jeff Widenhouse, of Concord; and great-nephew, Flay Flynn, of Concord.
