Thomas (Tommy) Clyde Bell Jr. age 76 of Lexington went home to be with his Savior Thursday February 14, 2019 at Hinkle Hospice House.
A Celebration of Life will be 3:00 pm Sunday February 17, 2019 at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Welcome where he was a member, conducted by Pastor Avery Varnadore and burial to follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will see friends from1:30 until 3:00 pm prior to the service and other times at the home.
Tommy was born February 18, 1942 in Davidson County to Thomas Clyde Bell Sr. and Annie Smith Bell. He retired as manager of A&P and Winn Dixie Grocery Stores. He loved to fish and attend church and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren teaching them life lessons and trouble making.
Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years and devoted caregiver, Joyce Doby Bell of the home. His daughters, Sherri Bell Dry (David) and Tammy Bell Varnadore ( Pastor Avery) all of Lexington. His grandchildren, Leanna Warner (Travis), Tyler Mize (Jordan), Matthew, Katy and Ashlyn Varnadore, Matthew and Jonathan Dry. His great grandchildren, Lyndsey, Dalton and Brianna Warner.
