Thomas Augustine Carey

Thomas “Tiger Tom” Augustine Carey, 49, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington. Burial with full military honors will follow in Salisbury National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Carey was born in Teaneck, New Jersey, on June 29, 1975, to Robert C. Carey and Jeanette Misercola Carey. He proudly served his country as a Command and Control Journeyman in the United States Air Force. Beyond his dedication to service, Thomas was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, cherishing every moment with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Bonnie Judd Carey; his daughters, Kristen Carey and Augustina "Tina" Hinkofer (Justin); his stepdaughters, Bethany and Ashley DiRocco; and his cherished granddaughters, Nicole Hinkofer and Annabel Hinkofer.

Thomas will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his service to his country, and the kindness he extended to those around him. His legacy of strength and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
