Thomas Perry Laning Dowell Jr.

Thomas Perry Laning Dowell Jr., 96, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022. No formal services will be held at this time. Mr. Dowell was born November 24, 1925, in New London, Connecticut, to Thomas Perry Laning Dowell Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Garland Dowell. He was a member of Incarnation Catholic Church in Florida. Thomas proudly served his country for several years in the United States Navy and loved spending time with family in his later years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Mary Barbara Williams Dowell of the home; four sons, Thomas Perry Laning Dowell III (Catherine) of California, Michael David Dowell of Alaska, Patrick Anthony Dowell of Washington, and Kenneth Eugene Dowell (Debra) of Alaska; and two daughters, Barbara Farthing (Dale) of Lexington and Theresa Elizabeth Mitchell of Washington.
