Thomas Allison Fritts, 67, of S. NC Highway 150, died Monday, May 27, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, following a two week illness.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at his home, with the Rev. Grant Sharp officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the home.
Mr. Fritts was born January 10, 1946, in Davidson County, to Reuben Fritts and Bessie Allison Fritts. He was a motor grader at Morgan Construction and a member of Tyro United Methodist Church. He also had served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
Surviving are his loving wife Gaynell Gatton Fritts of the home; sons, Cory Allen Fritts of Troutman, and Gil Huff (Elizabeth) of Lexington; daughters, Ronda Huff Johnson (Jon) and Chris Huff Medlin (Mark), all of Statesville; seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn Fritts, Alex Huff, Gavin Young, Tonya Taylor, Dusty, Cody and Jacob Medlin; and a brother, Kenneth Fritts and wife Joyce of Mt. Gilead.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292; or a charity of the donor’s choice.
