Thomas Franklin Garrett, Jr., age 57, of Davidson County, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025, in the Forest Hill Mausoleum Chapel, with Pastor Don Clement officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.

Born on November 29, 1967, in Davidson County, Thomas was the beloved son of Thomas Franklin Garrett, Sr. and Barbara Ann Gibbs Garrett. He worked in paint and body repair, where his steady hands and attention to detail were matched only by his passion for cars, especially Corvettes. Since the age of 19, Thomas was known for his love of Corvettes and was rarely seen without one nearby. Thomas was a man who cherished his family and found great joy in being a husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Karen Lawson Garrett; his sons, Blake Lawson, Thomas "Tommy" Franklin Garrett III (Bre), and Hayden Garrett; two loving sisters, Shelly Francera (Marty) and Anita Poole; and his precious granddaughter, Lennie Garrett. Also left to mourn his passing is his loyal companion and best friend, his dog Ladybug.

Thomas will be remembered for his quiet strength, his passion for his work and cars, and his deep love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, kindness, and unforgettable memories.
