Thomas Gerald Gibson

Thomas Gerald Gibson, 81, of Shirley Road, Lexington, died Friday July 10, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Monday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Rev. Paul Snell officiating services. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday at Davidson funeral Home. Mr. Gibson was born October 27, 1933 in Davidson County to Willie Kermit Gibson and Dera Louise Parker Gibson. He was retired from Billings Trucking Company and was a past member of Fairmont Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving is his wife Jerrell Ann Sutton of the home, one son Jerry Gibson and wife Joanne of Lexington; one daughter, Ann Michael of Lexington; five grandchildren, Cyrstal Hensley, Tabitha Smith, Travis Gibson, Nick Michael and Brandy Woolen; nine great-grandchildren, Amber Gibson, Aaron, Gibson, Hunter Smith, Austin Hensley, Olivia Woolen, Sarnera Zachery, Andrew Smith, Chloe Smith, Ryleigh Gibson.
