Thomas 'Buck' House, Jr.

Thomas “Buck” Thurman House Jr., 79 of West 9 ^th Ave in Lexington, passed away Tuesday December 31, 2019 at the home of his son in Thomasville.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday January 4, 2020 at Near Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, where he was a member, with Rev. Jeff Walser conducting services.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 at Near Calvary Freewill Baptist Church.

Mr. House was born June 22, 1940 in Davidson County to Thomas Thurman House Sr. and Charlotte Wilson House Volpe. He was retired from Dixie Linwood. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ellen Louise Lankford House, a sister Lorraine Furr and 2 grandchildren, Sarah House and Bradley Shoaf.

Surviving is two sons, Scott House and wife Jennifer of Thomasville and Tony Shoaf and wife Delphia of Lexington; one daughter, Vicky Sparks and husband Pete of Silver Valley; one brother, Grady Buzzy House and wife Ann of Lexington; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren.
