Thomas Merritt Jessup 81 of Clemmons, NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 3:25 AM Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at the Kate B Reynolds Trellis Supportive Care after an eight year battle with cancer. Tom spent his life doing what he loved and believed the Lord had called him to do, trying to reach the people with the gospel of Jesus Christ. He could not meet a stranger. It did not matter if the stranger was a doctor, a nurse, a car salesman, or a repairman they would get a witness.

He and his wife, Nancy were missionaries in Mexico with Baptist Mid-Missions for 38 years until they retired in September 2013. Thomas was a member of Freedom Baptist Church where he served in many capacities before going to Mexico. After he retired from Mexico he enjoyed working with the Spanish-speaking families who attended Freedom.
