Thomas Octave Jones

Thomas Octave Jones, 79 of Salisbury, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Rowan Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum at 2 pm on Saturday, October 3, 2020, with Pastor Darrell Cartrette officiating.

Thomas was born on June 14, 1941 in Nash County to John Theodore Jones and Eva Newsome Jones.  He retired from Owens Illinois and was of the Baptist faith.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tony Christopher Jones; brothers, Lewis Pete Jones, Theodore Jones, Luther Jones, Joseph Raymond Jones; sisters, Mary Frances Taylor, and Shirley Virginia Brown.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Christopher “Chris” Tucker; daughter, Angie Jones Tussey (Eric); sisters, Ola Mae Moy (Charles), Dorothy Raye Ewing; 5 grandchildren, Dakota, Casey, Chloe, Dawson, Brianna; and 3 great-grandchildren, Weston, Jaxson and Korbin.
