Thomas Junior Mccormick

Thomas “Worm” McCormick age 87, of Oakdale Lane passed away, Monday, July 11, 2022, at High Point Hospital.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Fries Cemetery, Fries, Va. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 13 at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington, NC.

Thomas was born in Grayson County, Va. January12, 1935 to James Curtis McCormick and Gladys Byrd McCormick. He retired from Stroh’s Brewery, Winston-Salem, NC and was of the Christian faith, served as a volunteer for Contact/Hope Helpline and Pastor’s Pantry. Thomas was a family man who loved everyone deeply. He loved baseball and was an avid Virginia Cavaliers fan. He was also known as a kind, giving, self-less man, who was loved by so many. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jerry McCormick, Bob McCormick, sister Sally Crews.

Surviving are sons, Terry McCormick (Susan), Steven McCormick, Michael McCormick, daughter Elizabeth Pyrtle (David), brother Jim McCormick, sister Mildred Swink, grandchildren; Lauren, Mack, Noah, Alana, Jack and three great-grandchildren, his great love and Mother of his children, Linda McCormick, and many other friends and family members.
