Thomas Blair Moore

Thomas Blair Moore, 94, of Ormond in the Pines, formerly of Deerlake Circle, died Thursday, June 22, 2012, at Florida Memorial Hospice. A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Forest Hill Memorial Park, Lexington, NC, with the Rev. Ray Howell 3rd officiating. Mr. Moore was born September 28, 1917, in Avery County, to Thomas Bell Moore and Martha Blair Moore. He was retired Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth Keith Perryman Moore. Surviving are his wife, Marjorie Cowdrey Moore of the home; son, Tommy Keith Moore of Tallahassee, Fl.; daughters, Sharon Degnan of The Woodlands, Texas, Deborah Camille Quiggs of Tallahassee, Fl., Eleanor Gail Hildebrand of Savannah, Ga., and Lynnee Desiree of Ormond Beach, Fl.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the local VFW in your town.
