Thomas Moore

Thomas Fetzer Moore Jr., age 76, of Lexington, passed away on Friday July 3, 2026, at Alderwood of Davidson County (Hinkle House).

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Thomas was born in Patrick County, Virginia on December 21, 1949, to Thomas Fetzer Moore, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Moncus Moore. He worked for Craftwood Veneer as a machine operator. He loved Nascar racing, coon hunting and fishing.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Ray Moore.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy; daughters, Tina McElrath (Shannon) and Crystal Stokes (Robby); brother, Roy Wayborn Moncus (Glenda); grandchildren, Brenden Stokes, Ryan McElrath and Taylor McElrath; great-grandchildren, Jace, Tucker and Skyler Wooten; and a host of nieces and nephews.
