Thomas Oliver Norman

Thomas Oliver Norman, 81, of Country Lane in Winston Salem, passed away Monday November 22, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm Friday, December 17, 2021, at First United Methodist Church, Lexington, NC with Rev. Kirk Tutterow officiating. Family will receive friends from 2 pm to 3 pm prior to service.

Mr. Norman was born December 17, 1939 in Wayne County Michigan to Oliver Mark Norman and Grecthen Mary Burgio Norman. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, enjoyed playing golf and graciously offered his services to Habitat for Humanities. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Brad McConnell; and sister-in-law, Linda Norman.

Surviving is his wife, Dr. Mary Ellen Amerman Norman, of the home; two sons, Ron Norman and Kyn Norman, both of the home; two daughters, Cyndy Van Buren (Eddie) of Florida, and Sue Dembski (David) of Ohio; two brothers, Gerry Norman of Michigan and Mark Norman (Pam) of Arizona; two sisters, Janice Stevenson (John) of Florida, and Tina McConnell, of Michigan; 6 grandchildren, Brandon, Amanda, Shannon, Sara, Jung and Victoria; and 1 great-grandchild, Noah.
