Thomas Edgar Tincher

Thomas Edgar Tincher, 80, of Arcadia, passed away Saturday, February 6. 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center after a recent diagnosis of advanced cancer. Services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Rd Chapel. The funeral will be held at 1 pm with Pastor Bobby Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family requests those attending to please wear a mask .

Mr. Tincher was born to Harry K. Tincher and Virginia Lee Buckland Tincher of Rainelle, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Whittington. He was a carpenter by trade and was a construction superintendent for 45 years; half of which he worked on telephone and post offices all over NC and surrounding states. Thomas was a beekeeper and had several “bee buddies.” He shared his love of bees by showing his exhibition hive at several local schools, the Davidson County Fair and at Honeybee Day at the Lexington Farmers Market and Sandy Creek Farm. Having grown up on a farm, he loved helping his neighbors on their farm. He also grew a garden, sharing with friends and family.

Surviving is his wife, Rebecca Ann Shuford Tincher, of the home; one son, Thomas H. Tincher (Maureen), of Winston-Salem; three daughters, Anne Hartman of Winston-Salem, Kathy Hepler (Bruce) of Clemmons, and Barbara Bourdon (Gary) of Lexington; two brothers, Edward Tincher (Kay) and John Tincher, both of WV; two sisters, Anna Lee Flint of VA and Sue Dupor (Stevan) of Rural Hall; 8 grandchildren, Heidi Hartman (Krista), Ben Hartman (Ashley), Matthew Hartman, Holly Hepler, Brandon Hepler, Carrie Hauser (Cody), Jack Tincher and Chase Tincher; and 2 special great-grandchildren, Levi and Henry Hartman.
