Thomas "Tommy" Madison Beck

Thomas “Tommy” Madison Beck, 75, of Lexington, passed away June 15, 2023, at his home in Lexington.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Grace Journey Church, 1000 E. Center St. Ext., Lexington, NC. Visitation will follow the service.  The family will receive friends and visitors at other times at the home.

Tommy was born October 7, 1947, in Davidson County, to Colon Beck and Jeannette Kimbrell Beck, and was married to his loving wife, Sue Lomax Beck for 55 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed his family and his hunting buddies. Tommy never met a stranger and enjoyed making friends everywhere. He retired from the job he loved at Davidson Sash & Door after over 34 years of service. His passion was his family, especially his grandchildren. Tommy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be greatly missed by all. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Judy Beck Olson.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Sue Lomax Beck, son, Darel Beck and wife Ann, daughter, Alanna Burkhart and husband Monte all of Lexington, grandchildren, Dylan Motsinger and wife Brooke, Keeli Grubb and husband Alex, Alicia Motsinger, and one great granddaughter, Madison Motsinger. Also surviving are a host of nieces and nephews and his beloved church family.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Hospice of Davidson County and the Life Center of Davidson County, for the special love and care they provided to Tommy and his family.
