Thurman Leonard Myers

Thurman Leonard Myers, age 73 of Mountain Shore Drive, Denton passed away Tuesday morning April 14, 2020 at Lexington Health Care.

In keeping with Governor Cooper’s directives on the COVID-19 Pandemic a private graveside servce will be held Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Lexington City Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Truell officiating.

Thurman was born in Iredell County, October 5, 1946 to Thurman Henry Myers and Lillie Mae Shumaker Myers. He was aretired employye of PPG and loved to fish. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Thelma Louise Brown.

Surviving are his loving wife, Brenda Watkins Myers of the home; step-daughters, Amy McLeod (Lonnie) of Denton and Tammy Mills (James) of Kannapolis; step sons, Keith Hagler (fiancee’ Penny Bare) of Lexington and Bryan Garner of Denton; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; sisters, Hilda Truell (Jimmy) of Lexington and Shelby Brewer (Don) of Camden, SC and his special canine c ompanion, Nala.

Memorials may be made to donor’s choice of charity.
