Tiajuana Powell Odell Hollomon

TiaJuana Powell Odell Thompson Hollomon, 75, of Grimes Circle, died Saturday, February 9, 2008, at Brookstone of Lexington. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Rev. J. Randy Hall and Pastor Tim Miller. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Mrs. Hollomon was born October 19, 1932, in Rockingham County to Willie Arthur Powell Sr. and Thelma Weatherford Powell. She was a member of Osborne Baptist Church in Eden and formerly employed at Southern Lunch for 21 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry Thompson and Arthur Hollomon; brother, Jimmy Lee Powell; and several half brothers and sisters. Surviving are sons, Frank Odell and wife, Wanda Carter Odell, Jerry Odell and wife, Christine Fowler Odell, all of Lexington; grandchildren, Christy Odell Murphy and husband, Ramu, Sheri Odell Crofts and husband, Scott, Jennifer Odell, and Brooke Odell and fiancé Toby Lemley; great-grandchildren, Ayanna Hoper and Anson Lemley; William Arthur “Bud” Powell of Shallotte; and sister, Joan Powell Tuck and husband, Kenneth, of Eden. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the home of her son, Jerry, 105 Hammond Road. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, P.O.
