Timothy Blain “Tim” Grubb, 40, of T.S. Payne Road, died Thursday, November 22, 2007, at his home following an 18 month fight with cancer.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Reeds Baptist Church, where he was a member, by the Revs. Steve Ackerman and John Gwaltney. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Grubb was born August 20, 1967, in Davidson County to Foy Blain Grubb and Joyce Smith Grubb. He was a 1987 graduate of West Davidson High School. He was also a leader in the Cub Scouts Pack 221. Mr. Grubb served in the North Carolina National Guard and was a correctional officer for the state of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Foy D. Grubb.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Cathy Kiser Grubb of the home; son, Alexander B. “Alex” Grubb of the home; sister, Jennifer Turrentine and husband, Travis, of Lexington; nieces, Mackenzie and Salem Turrentine; nephews, Keaton Turrentine and Kristopher and Korey Kiser; grandparents, Weldon and Lola Smith of Lexington and Ruby Grubb of Lexington.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2007, at Davidson Funeral Home.
