Jerry Timothy “Tim” Lopp, 47, of Clover Drive, died Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at High Point Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2008, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Rev. Scott Baker. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Lopp was born December 7, 1960, in Davidson County, to Jerry Milton Lopp and Alma Rose Everhart Lopp. He was former manager of Shoney’s Restaurant and of the Baptist faith. He was a Western history enthusiast, having created a website for western history.
In addition to his parents of Lexington he is survived by his wife, Carol Holberg Lopp of the home; stepson, Curt Ross and wife, Christie, of High Point; grandson, Caleb Ross; brother, Michael Lopp and wife, Julie, of Lexington; and sister Karen Elliott and husband, David, of Lexington.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the home of his parents on Second Rainbow Street.
