Timothy Phillip Childs

Timothy Phillip Childs age 61 of Lexington went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, September 28, 2020.

A celebration of  his life will be 11:00 am Saturday October 3, 2020 at First Alliance  Church of Lexington where he was a member. The ceremony will be conducted by Rev. Paul Titus. The family will see friends from 10-11 am at the church prior to the service. Tim was born July 8, 1959 to Rev. William Travis (Bill) Childs Jr. and Virginia Lucille Walters Childs. His parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his loving wife, Layne Rummage Childs of the home. His children, Chris Childs of Charlotte and Ashley Childs of Lexington. Also surviving are his grandson, Jacob Floyd and  his brothers and sisters, William Travis Childs III (Holly) of Black Mountain, John David Childs (Martha) of Fruitland  Park, Fla., Stephen Mark Childs, of Daveo City, Mindano Mindanao Phillipines, Robert Peter Childs of Lexington and Grace Ann Childs Ward (Stuart) also of Lexington.
