Timothy Scott “Tim” Love, 56, of Freewood Road, along with his beloved canine companion, Ava Elizabeth, died Tuesday, May 17, 2016, due to injuries from an automobile accident. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2016, at First Baptist Church of Welcome, where he was a member, with the Revs. Mark Blair and Jonathan Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016 and other times at the home. Mr. Love was born April 3, 1960, in Davidson County, to Edward Wayne Love and Mildred Berrier Love Spainhour. He was a self-employed handyman and master craftsman. He mostly enjoyed building custom furniture. He was a very loving, caring, and generous individual who was loved by many. His father preceded him in death. Surviving are his childhood sweetheart and loving wife of 37 years Clara Hankins Love of the home; son, Daniel Love of Lexington; daughter, Amanda Crouch and husband Nathan of Okinawa, Japan; grandchildren, Makayla Crouch, Gabriel Crouch, both of Japan, and Logan Love of Lexington; mother and stepfather, Richard Spainhour of Welcome; brothers, Steve Love and wife Shirley, Phill Love and wife Lois, both of Lexington; stepbrother, Rick Spainhour and wife Vicki of Maine; stepsister, Gina Shields of California.
