Timothy "Timmy" Scott Kearns

Timothy “Timmy” Scott Kearns, 69, of Lexington, NC passed away on April 3, 2025 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Timothy was born on December 27, 1955 in Lexington, NC to the late Gurney Kearns Jr. and Dorothy Parker Kearns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Van Kearns.

Timothy honorably served his country in the United States Army. He spent his career as a butcher for Food Lion before retiring. He was a long-time member of New Testament Baptist Church. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching football and baseball. His favorite team was the Atlanta Braves. He also enjoyed spending time out on the open road on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sister-in-law, Debra Kearns; nephews, Jeffrey Kearns and Jared Kearns; nieces, Terilyn Kearns (Will) Wood and Kirsten Kearns; and two great-nieces, Leia Kearns and Lani McGriff. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
