Tiny Barnhill

February 19, 1947 — July 4, 2020

Eugene “Tiny” Barnhill age 73 of West Fifth Street, Lexington passed away suddenly Saturday morning July 4, 2020.

Due to the COVID-19 a limit of 50 people will be observed and a mask is suggested for the service in the   Davidson Funeral Home Chapel 2:00 PM Sunday, July 12, 2020, with Pete Bumgarner officiating. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will greet friends at the cemetery following the service.

Tiny was born in Davidson County on February 19, 1947 to Warren Lynwood Barnhill and Muriel Marie Sealey Barnhill. He was a graduate of Lexington Senior High School Class of 1966; a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ; he served in the US Army during the Vietman War; a member of DAV Chapter 9, Amvets Post 13, American Legion Post 8 and VFW Post 3074 and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #229; was retired from the City of Lexington as Superintendent of Public Grounds with 30 years of service He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Patsy McCarn Barnhill and his son Andy Barnhill who passed away on June 28, 2020.

Surviving are his daughter, Angelia Barnhill of Lexington; grandsons, Drew Barnhill and significant other Bryanna Markland, William Petty of Lexington and Jacob Petty of Winston Salem; his brother, Billy Barnhill of Lexington; his fiancé Jean Segers Creed of Lexington; sister-in-law, Carmelita Richardson (Johnny) of Ashboro; nieces, Glenda Everhart (Larry), Sherrie Smith (Chris), Cindy Barnhill and Kim Kinley (Gary); nephews, Woody Harvey (Carol), Toby Barnhill, Robbie Barnhill, Johnny McCarn (Lynn), Binky McCarn (Vicky) Eric Richardson and Danny McCarn.
