Tivis Vincent Wooten

Tivis Vincent Wooten 83 of Shady Oak Trail, Clemmons passed away Friday July 13, 2018 at his home.   A funeral service will be 10:00 am Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Welcome where he was a member conducted by Rev. Mark Blair. Burial will follow at 3:00 pm at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Beckley, W. Virginia. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8 pm at Davidsn Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel and at other times at the home.   Tivis was born January 27, 1935 in Raleigh County, W. Virginia to John Franklin Wooten and Mable Hester Daffron Wooten.  He was retired from General Electric. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Ima Jean Wooten. Also preceded in death by sisters: Marcella Guatier and Maxine Furrow.   Surviving are his wife, Sue-Anne Cole Wooten of the home. A son, Michael Wooten of Kentucky and a daughter, Brenda Sue Wooten of the home. His step daughters, Donna Sue Johns of Arkansas and Deborah Mozert (Thad) of Florida.   Memorials may be made to  Community Home Care  1308 Davie Avenue, Statesville, NC 28677.
