Toby Douglas Hayes

Toby Douglas Hayes, 54, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away on April 16, 2025, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, surrounded by loved ones.

Toby was born January 8, 1971, to Timohty Hayes and Terryl Trivison Hayes in Cleveland Ohio.

Toby was a devoted husband, proud father, and hardworking business owner. He built a successful life with his wife, Michelle Hayes.  He is survived by his children he adored- Brianna Clemens (27) and Colin Hayes (25) as well as Brandon McCoy (28), his stepson.

As the owner of T&M Concrete, Toby took pride in his craft and the relationships he built throughout the community. Known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and quick wit, Toby made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He is also survived by his older brother, Todd Hayes; his aunt and uncle, Jody and Fred Hobson; and his aunt, Tia Trivison.  Toby will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

A memorial service will be held by the family in Ohio, on May 24th.  Thanks to all who came to celebrate his walk of honor at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center on 4/17/2025.
