Toby Shoaf Walser

Toby Shoaf Walser, 79, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. Toby, a beloved father, brother, and friend, will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Born June 13, 1946, in Davidson County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Wade and Kate Walser. Toby found joy in the simple things in life — squirrel hunting, fishing, and spending time with his dogs.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Friends and family are also welcome at other times at the home of his son, Tim Walser, located at 111 M.B. Bailey Road, Lexington, NC 27295.

Toby was preceded in death by three brothers, L.V. Walser, Bill Walser and Melvin Walser and his sister, Patty Phelps. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Tim Walser (Amy Leonard); daughter, Tracy Walser; his twin brother, Talbert Walser (Carolyn); and sister, Doris Adkins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
