Tom R. Cheves

Thomas “Tom” Cheves, age 64 of Choctaw Drive, Lexington passed away Friday morning June 2, 2017 at Hinkle Hospice House after an extended illness. Funeral service will be held 5:00 PM Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Tyro United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 5:30 until 7:30 Tuesday night. Tom was born in Guilford County March 1, 1953 to Thomas R. Cheves, Sr. and Kathleen Lookabill Cheves. Tom was a member of Tyro United Methodist Church. He was General Manager for American Beer Company in Meadow Bluff, W.VA and had worked for Silver Eagle and Tri-Distributors in Lexington. He was an avid golfer and never met a stranger. Even though he grew up in Guilford County he enjoyed and loved working and giving to the City of Lexington and Davidson County and was proud to call it home. Surviving are his wife, Angie Cheves; sons, Ty Cheves and girlfriend Lynley Paden and Alex Cheves; sisters, Martha Cheves Powers of Greensboro and Shirley Cheves Routh (Butch) of High Point.
