Tommy "Fuzzy" Shoaf

Tommy White “Fuzzy” Shoaf passed away in his home January 11, 2021. Tommy was born in Davidson County to Fred Casey Shoaf Sr. and Bessie Leonard Shoaf February 3, 1929. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Thursday at Sandy Creek Cemetery,Giles Road, Lexington conducted by Rev. John Edward Pless. Mr. Shoaf was a life long farmer and retired from North Carolina Finishing Company. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a lifelong member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Tyro, North Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Lee Shoaf; brothers, Telo Shoaf and Bud Shoaf; sisters, Louise Simerson, Kathleen Grubb, and Mable Koontz. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 66 years, Betty Jean BurkhartShoaf of the home; sons, Barry Carter Shoaf (Betsy), Terry Kent Shoaf (Becky), and Kerry Brent Shoaf (Sherri); grandchildren, Drew Shoaf (Kelly), Linzy Shoaf Tanzey (Chris), Luke Shoaf, Katie Shoaf, Liz Shoaf, and Jesse Shoaf; great-grandchildren, Hudson and Hadley Shoaf; brothers, Casey Shoaf Jr., James E. Shoaf, Billy W. Shoaf (Helen), Charles H. Shoaf, Donald R. Shoaf; sisters, Tina May and Maxine Richardson; close family and friends Summy Porter (Dale) and Mariah Snider; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, 4299 NC Highway 150, Lexington, NC 27295
