Tommy Ray Grubb

Thomas Ray “Tommy” Grubb, 49, of Brown Street, died Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at his home following a seven year illness. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2016, at Davidson Funeral Home with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Mr. Grubb was born July 5, 1967, in Davidson County to Arnold Ray “Butch” Grubb and Dianne Berrier Grubb. He was a fire fighter for South Lexington Fire Department and a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ. Mr. Grubb was also a member of the Fire Fighters Association. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a son, Chadric Lee Newsome. Surviving are his wife, Joni Sue Davis Grubb of the home; daughter, Tamara Sue Newsome of Lexington; grandchildren, Alonzo B. Taliaferro Jr., Michael “Mikey” D. Taliaferro, and Jaelan J.
