Tommy Wayne Henderson

June 27, 1945 — February 21, 2021

Tommy Wayne Henderson, 75, of Lexington, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Henderson will lie in state at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington from 1:00pm until 5:00pm on Wednesday, February 24 th .  The family will not be present.  A face covering and social distancing are required.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, February 25 th at Center United Methodist Church with Rev. Mitch Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Mr. Henderson was born June 27, 1945 and was preceded in death by his parents Roy C. Henderson and Gertrude Everhart Henderson.  Tommy was a retired electrician from Joseph Schlitz Brewing Company, (later Stroh’s Brewery Company) and later the founder/owner Davidson Security Alarm System.  He was a member of Center United Methodist Church of Welcome and the Goodwill Sunday School Class.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 56 years, Diane Loftin Henderson; son, Michael Henderson (Debra) and daughter, Shelley Henderson Owens; five grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is a brother, Timothy Henderson (Therese) of Lexington, and a special niece.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Center United Methodist Church, PO Box 179, Welcome, NC 27374.
