Tommy Eugene Jones

Tommy Eugene Jones, age 73 of Odell Owens Road, Lexington passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Henry Watterson officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday night. Tommy was born in Brooks County, Georgia to Isaac Bush Jones and Stella Mae Parker Jones. He was a retired employee of Flowers Industries and a member of Reeds Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Essie Stallings Jones. Surviving are his daughters, Susan Plott of Lexington and Deana Carr (Richard) of Jacksonville, FL; son, Gene Jones (Tammy) of Pavo, GA; grandchildren, Holly Plott Branch (Quintin), Shelby Jones, Trey Jones, Shawna and Dallas Nelson; sisters, Margaret Alderman, Betty Tucker and Ruth Flowers all of Thomasville, GA; brother, Ed Jones of Thomasville, Ga.
