Tommy “Red” Shaw, 56, of Lexington, passed away July 29, 2023, at his home in Lexington, surrounded by his family and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Journey Church of Lexington conducted by Pastors Mark Rachels and Matt Leonard where it will be livestream at https://m.facebook.com/journeychurchoflexington The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6:00 until 8:00 at Davidson Funeral Home, and other times at the home on Sedona Dr., Lexington.

Tommy was born July 22, 1967, in Davidson County, to Ethel Jane Franklin Shaw. He was a Sales Manager for Jerry Hunt Super Center. Tommy loved his job, the Washington Redskins, Appalachian Football, was an avid Duke fan and loved the game of golf. He was a veteran having served in the United States Marine Corp. His passion was his faith, family and especially his grandchildren. Tommy was a loving husband, father, poppy, brother, and uncle, who will be missed by all. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Shaw.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Misty Shaw of the home, sons, Logan Shaw and wife Katie, Ian Stamey, daughter, Brooke Yates and husband Daniel all of Lexington: grandchildren, Ava and Asher Yates, and Gatlin Shaw, brother, Mike Shaw and wife Jennifer of FL., also surviving are nephew, Jeremy Shaw, nieces, Paxton Shaw Oliphant and Makayla Bradshaw, cousin, Jimmy Franklin and wife Zoorene, mother and father in law Leisha and Steve Tripp and sister in law Sarah Hutchins.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Trellis Hospice Care and Dr. Ansley and staff at Lexington Cancer Center.
