Tommy Joe Simerson

Tommy Joe Simerson, age 82 of Spruce Street, Lexington passed away Saturday (February 20, 2010) at Hinkle Hospice House. No funeral services are scheduled. Tommy was born in Davidson County, September 20, 1927 to Sam Clifford Simerson and Leona Everhart Simerson. He was a retired employee of McLean Trucking, and attended Second Reformed United Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the US Army having served his country during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Peggy Ann Simerson Williams. Surviving are; one brother, Steve Simerson and wife Laura of Lexington and his companion Hilda Lee of Lexington, three nieces, Lisa Griffin and husband Tim, Jennifer Jackson and husband Matt, Julie Hinkle and husband Dwayne; one nephew, George Simerson and wife Diana.
