Tommy Swing

Thomas T. "Tommy" Swing, 77, died Friday, March 30, 2012, at the Hospice Home of Alamance County. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Gavin Pratt. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at Davidson Funeral Home. Mr. Swing was born in Davidson County on May 4, 1934, to James Ruffin Swing and Bessie Sowers Swing. He was a member of North Lexington Baptist Church, an alumni of Oak Ridge Military Academy and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Gwendolyn Pullen Swing. He is survived by a son, Mark Swing and wife Sherry of Mebane; a daughter, Melissa McDonald and husband David of Randleman; two grandchildren, Ryne and Chessa Swing of Mebane; and many nieces and nephews.
