Tony Gray Berrier

Tony Gray Berrier, 75, passed away at his home on Thursday, June 17, 2010 with his family by his bedside. A funeral service will be held 3:30 pm Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Harris and Dr. Harold Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Davidson Funeral Home-Hickory Tree Chapel, and other times at the home. Mr. Berrier was born October 29, 1934 in Davidson County to Russell Odell Berrier and Beulah Byerly Berrier. He was the owner and operator of Tony Berrier Painting Company and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ishmael Berrier. Surviving are his beloved wife of 55 years, Charlotte Craver Berrier of the home; loving Father and Grandfather to his son, Alan Gray Berrier of Lexington; his daughters; Elaine Brittain and husband, Craig, of Lexington, Cindi Naylor of Charlotte, Kathy Mulrooney and husband, Kenneth, of Lexington, and Susan West and husband, David, of Lexington; his grandchildren, Michelle Brittain Zimmerman, Matthew Brittain, Chad Naylor, T. J. Naylor, Miranda Burrow, and Kodi Mulrooney; and his great- granddaughter, Toni Bryton Zimmerman. He is also survived by his brothers, Floyd Berrier and wife, Nadine, and Paul David Berrier and wife, Phyllis; and his sisters, Angela Parker and husband, Bobby, Betty Nifong and husband, Archie, Linda Holdaway and husband, Michael, and Dottie Sizemore and husband, Barry all of Lexington. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
