Tony Gray Craver

April 15, 1951 — January 7, 2025

Tony Craver, 73, of Davidson County, passed away Tuesday morning, January 7, 2025, at Hinkle Hospice House of Lexington.

The funeral will take place on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with Rev. Michael Martin officiating.

The burial and committal will follow the service at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church cemetery.

Family will receive friends once committal has concluded.

Tony was born on April 15, 1951, in Davidson County, to the late Grady Eli Craver and Mae Garrison Craver. He worked for Flowers Baking Company for over 30 years, and later in life, started a small flea market business where he loved meeting and talking with all the people he met.

He is remembered for the wonderful talent he had for woodworking and was known to be able to make just about anything. His family recalls the birdhouses he made with skill and detailed craftsmanship. The devotion to this joy was second only to the devotion and love he held for his family.

Tony and his wife, Hope, were married for 56 years, loving one another and raising a family. The pride he had in his grandchildren was easily seen whenever they were around, and his legacy will live on through them.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Todd; two sisters, Lunette Hege and Nancy Oakley; and two brothers, Reid and Bobby Craver.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Hope Nance Craver, of the home; his children, Jason Craver (Pam), and Lisa Martin (Jon), both of Lexington; and grandchildren, William Craver, Kaitlyn, Madelyn, and Zac Martin.
