Tony Medlin

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Tony Medlin, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and community member, who departed this life on Tuesday, January 14th, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on Friday, July 9th, 1937, Tony spent his rich and rewarding life in the heart of Lexington, NC, where he was cherished by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm Monday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Luck and Rev. Paula Wells officiating services.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home

Tony was preceded in death by his loving parents, Paul Olin "Luke" Medlin and Hazel Lorena Morgan Medlin, as well as his son, Mike Medlin and a sister Elaine Medlin. Despite these profound losses, Tony remained a pillar of strength and love for his family.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Gail Medlin, with whom he shared a life full of cherished memories and mutual devotion. She will forever hold his love in her heart at their home. Tony's legacy also lives on through his two beloved daughters, Paula Newsome and her husband Kenny, and Julie Dyson and her husband Greg, both residents of Lexington, who continue to embody the kindness and integrity instilled in them by their father, and 3 grandchildren; Zackery Todd Hutchinson, Merrick Dyson, and Riley Dyson.

Family, friends, and neighbors are invited to gather in memory of Tony at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington, NC, where a fitting tribute to his life and legacy will be held. Arrangements are thoughtfully provided by Davidson Funeral Home, ensuring that Tony's life will be celebrated with the deepest respect and dignity.

Tony Medlin will be remembered for his gentle spirit, unwavering wisdom, and the warmth he extended to everyone around him. His absence leaves a deep void in the hearts of his family and friends, yet his spirit and love will remain with them forever. May he rest in peace, knowing that he was truly loved and valued by all.
