Tony Lee Purvis

Mr. Tony Lee Purvis, 67, of S. Shore Dr., died Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Hinkle Hospice Home.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Faith Baptist Church, 4518 Shiptontown Rd, Denton, NC 27239, with Rev. Freddie Moretz officiating. The family will receive friends following the service, and at other times at the homes of the daughter and wife.

He was born on March 13, 1959, in Durham County, to the late Hollie and Juanita Frances Taylor Purvis.

Mr. Purvis enjoyed fishing, camping, and loved High Rock Lake. He was a Ford man through and through and was a collector of Indian artifacts. Tony was a selfless man who loved the Lord and was most excited to see his mom again in Heaven.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jerry Beasley.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Quesenberry; a daughter, Rebekah Leonard (Joey); a son, Daniel Purvis (Taylor); five grandchildren, Katelyn Leonard, Johnathan Leonard, Riley Purvis, and Jarrett Purvis; step-daughters, Ashely Talbert and Megan George; step-grandchildren, Kallie Norris, Tobey Talbert, Baxley Talbert, Owen Talbert, and Grace Smith; step-great-grandchildren, Ropyr, Ella, Adalyn, and Oaklynn; siblings, Richard Purvis (Linda) Donnie Purvis (Jean), and Linda Beasley; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Noble, Ralph, and Corey.
