Tony Franklin Wilson

Tony Franklin Wilson, 82 of Lexington, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, March 27th at Silver Valley Baptist Church officiated by Pastor William Allison. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A visitation with family and friends will be held Tuesday evening, March 26th from 6-8pm at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.

Tony was born on September 26, 1941, in Davidson County to the late Arvil Franklin Wilson and Maggie Rhodes Wilson. He retired as director of sales from Flowers Baking Company.  He was a life-long member of Silver Valley Baptist Church and held the position of deacon. Tony will forever be held in the hearts of all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 64 years, Doris Pierce Wilson, of the home; son, Darren Shea Wilson; daughter, Deann Holmes (Randy); four grandchildren, Ryne Wilson Holmes (Liz), Dylan Garris Holmes (Fiancé, Logan), Taylor Wilson West (Kenny), Courtney Wilson Davis (Cole); two great-grandchildren, Freya Hazel West, Loxley Greigh West; sisters, Rita Wilson Bean (Phillip), Karen Wilson  Young (Kent), Amelia Wilson Cates (Korkie); many special nieces and nephews and his special pet, Bailey.
