Tonya Brooks Mcbride

Tonya Brooks McBride, 54, of Hasty School Road, died Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Hospice of High Point. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Fork Baptist Church with the Revs. Robert Garrett, Ottis Collins, Garness Brooks and Kip McBride. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home. Mrs. McBride was born April 20, 1962, in Forsyth County, to Garness Brooks and Shirley Wilson Brooks. She was a hairstylist at Capelli North Salon and a member of Trindale Community Church. Her mother preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband, Kip McBride of the home; son, Seth Leonard of Thomasville; daughter, Andrea Watson and husband Will of Thomasville; stepdaughters, Samantha Wagner and husband Nelson of Linwood, Tabitha McBride and Chris of Mocksville; grandchildren, Alydia Watson, Gemma Watson, Rory Watson, Hunter Wagner, Jax Wagner, and Connor Knight; her father and step-mother, Garness Brooks and Shirley of Winston-Salem; and brothers, Keith Brooks and wife Melody and Tim Brooks, all of Winston-Salem.
