Tonya Reavis Young

Tonya Reavis Young, age 59 of Creek Ridge Drive, Lexington passed away Wednesday morning at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston Salem after a two year battle with cancer. A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 pm Friday, October 16, 2015 at Clemmons First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Robby Phillips officiating. The family will greet friends in the Family Life Center, following the service. Tonya was born in Forsyth County, January 31, 1956 to E.C. and Mae Petit Reavis. Tonya was a member of Clemmons First Baptist Church and the Genesis Sunday School Class. After high school, Tonya Graduated from St. Andrews College in 1978 and received her MBA from Wake Forest University in 1990; she was a retired employee of RJR as a Quality Control Manager. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her husband, Gene Young of the home; sister, Sharon Sparks of Mecklenburg County; step-mother, Sue Tesh Reavis of Clemmons; step-brothers, Randy and Gary Tesh of Davie County and Eric Tesh of Tobaccoville and many friends from church, that she loved.
