Trewitt was born on March 16, 1934, in Richardsville, VA, to the late Absalom Rogers Harding and Nora Day Harding.
During his school years at Culpeper High School, Trewitt joined the ROTC, and was an Alumni of the University of Virginia, and went on to enlist in the U.S. Army, where he rose to the rank of Captain by the end of his service. Throughout his professional life, he built a successful career as a managing stockbroker, ultimately retiring from Morgan Stanley.
He was an expert golfer who found immense joy in the game, making it one of his favorite pastimes, especially when playing alongside his wife. Whether on the green or the dance floor, his natural talent and passion shone through. A gifted dancer, he moved with effortless rhythm and grace, making every step look smooth and every dance partner feel at ease. Whether swinging a golf club or gliding across the floor, he embraced each moment with skill, charm, and a true love for the things that brought him happiness.
Trewitt was cherished for his kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family and friends—a love that was deeply felt by all who knew him.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Harding and Roger Harding and two sisters, Genevive Timberlake and Geraldine Walker.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 31 years, Sandra Branson Harding, of the home; daughter, Trewdee Conrow (Kevin); one grandson, Ethan Conrow; and two stepsons, Todd A. Polen (Carla), and Scott B. Polen (Laurie); and five step grandchildren, Troy A. Polen, Seth Polen, Joshua Polen, Ryan Polen, and Grace Polen.
