Tricia Annette Chapman Creasey, 39, of Allred Road, lost her courageous battle with cancer Thursday, February 09, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2012, at Davidson Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Ward officiating. Entombment will follow in Floral Gardens Memorial Park, High Point. The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012, at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Mrs. Creasey was born March 24, 1972, in Guilford County, to Richard S. Chapman and Janice Presswood Chapman. She was a graduate from University of North Carolina Greensboro, where she was a member of the Alpha Delta PI Sorority. Tricia taught at E. Lawson Brown Middle School where she was a very loving and strong teacher to many students who admired her over her years of teaching. They looked up to her they wanted to be just like her. They wanted her courage, her hope and her determination. She taught seventh grade science and social studies, but she also taught her students to fight the hardest battles and to never give up. The lessons she taught her students will never be forgotten. She was a member of the NCAE and Bethel Baptist Church of Denton. Mrs. Creasey was an active member of the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life of Davidson County. She was loved and admired by her community for her strength and courage in her fight against cancer. Mrs. Creasey and her family were greatly humbled by the support of their community when they were nominated and received a new home from Extreme Makeover Home Edition. She will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank the community for all the support, love and prayers they received over the last few years. They were and are greatly appreciated.
Surviving are her loving husband, William Matthew Creasey of the home; daughters, Brittany Creasey, Makenzie Creasey and Makayla Creasey, all of the home; her parents of Thomasville; a sister, Sarah Sherman and husband, Allen, of Thomasville; and a nephew, Skylar Sherman of Thomasville.
