Troy Marie Swicegood Caudle, 92, of Sink Farm Road, died Sunday, August 4, 2013, at her home following a three month illness.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Bruce Morasco officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mrs. Caudle was born March 4, 1921, in Davidson County, to Cicero Swicegood and Essie Shoaf Swicegood. She was a member of the Joy Club and Lottie Dutch Club. She was President of Senior Lunch Bunch at her church. She also served eight years as a volunteer Den Mother for the Boy Scouts. Mrs. Caudle was known for the jokes she told and her wonderful cooking especially the candy she made. She enjoyed preparing gifts for her friends and tending to her garden. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Arthur Caudle.
Surviving are sons, Trent Caudle and wife Susanne and Tony Caudle and wife Belinda, all of Lexington; grandchildren, Amanda Forbis and husband Matthew, Blake Caudle and Thomas Caudle; brother, Carl Swicegood of Lexington; and sister, Lenora Jackson of Lexington.
