Troy Durell Rackard

Troy Durell Rackard 81 of Welcome Arcadia Rd. passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Meridian Center, High Point. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 22, 2016 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park with Military graveside rites. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the funeral home. Troy was born July 11, 1934 in Tishomingo County, MS to Albert Hosea and Victoria Hallmark Rackard. He retired from Binnings Building Products after 32 years and was President of AAMA (American Architectural Manufacturers Association). He was a member of Thomasville Church of God. Troy also served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy Cullom Rackard; brothers, Odell, Noonan and Robert Rackard. Surviving are sons Nathan Rackard (Leslie) of Stokesdale, Jonathan Rackard (Amanda) of Welcome; daughter Dawn Harden of Flower Mound, TX; grandchildren, Morgan Smith, Alex Harden, Jade Simmons, Kinlie Rackard, Canyon Rackard, Katelyn Rackard, Ashley Rackard and Tori Rackard; a brother, Leon Rackard (Elsie) of Macon, GA. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 4 Oak Branch Dr. #A, Greensboro, NC 27407 and Alzheimers Association, 4615 Dundas Dr., Greensboro, NC 27407.
